Former India cricketer Suresh Raina on Thursday wished Ravindra Jadeja the best of luck after the Indian all-rounder was appointed as the captain of Chennai Super Kings for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

 

Sharing the post on Twitter, Raina wrote, "Absolutely thrilled for my brother. I can't think of anyone better to take the reins of the franchise we both grew up in. All the best Jadeja." It is an exciting phase and I am sure you will live up to all the expectations and love.”

 

Dhoni was the captain of CSK from the start of the tournament in 2008. Meanwhile, he did not lead CSK for only two years because then the team was banned for two years due to the spot-fixing case. and they have picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012 and is only the third person to lead CSK.

 

"Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond," the franchise said in a statement.
