Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu), March 16 (IANS) People should vote for BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in order to eradicate corruption across the country, said DMDK leader A.Vijaykant here Sunday.
Addressing an election rally in this town, around 310 km from Chennai, the actor-turned-politician said: "We should vote for Modi to eradicate corruption across the country. In Tamil Nadu to eradicate corruption, vote for Vijaykant."
"Our alliance is a victorious alliance. I beg you for your benefit to change your voting pattern and vote for National Democratic Alliance (NDA)," Vijaykant told a sizeable crowd.
"I fall at your feet to (make you) vote for NDA candidates," he said.
He said the water schemes promised by DMK and AIADMK governments have not materialised till date.
Water is there only in the eyes of people, he said, adding: "The tears of people will turn into votes."
According to him, the NDA alliance is the people's alliance and a victorious alliance.
