
New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday greeted the people on the occasion of Guru Ravidas' birth anniversary.
"Greetings & good wishes to all my fellow citizens on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravi Dasji," President Mukherjee tweeted.
His another tweet said: "Guru Ravi Dasji's noble teachings propagating universal brotherhood are of great relevance in today's world."
"Let us rededicate ourselves to the building of a casteless society for which Guru Ravi Dasji fought ceaselessly. Let us derive inspiration from the struggle of Guru Ravi Dasji for equality in society," he tweeted.
Guru Ravidas was a saint of the Bhakti movement. His Jayanti is celebrated on Magh Purnima, the full moon day in the month of Magh.
