Earlier, the West Bengal government has constituted an expert committee to explore the possibilities of conducting secondary and senior secondary examinations amid the pandemic, determining the mode (online/offline) where possible and the basis for evaluation in case of cancellation. formed recently. It is believed that based on the review of public opinion and the suggestion of the expert committee formed for the examinations, the West Bengal government has announced the cancellation of secondary and higher secondary examinations.
Over 20 lakh students affected
More than 20 lakh students of government and private schools affiliated with the state board will be affected due to the decision of the West Bengal government to cancel the board examinations of secondary and higher secondary classes. Of these, more than 12 lakh students are from secondary classes while 8.5 lakh are from higher secondary classes.
