New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS) The AAP government would like to work in tandem with the centre as it believes in positive politics and its aim is to make Delhi a better place to live, AAP leader Manish Sisodia said after his party's landslide victory in the Delhi assembly polls.
"We believe in positive and competitive politics. We are here to make Delhi better and would like to work with the centre in tandem," Sisodia, who is likely to be a senior minister in Arvind Kejriwal's cabinet like before, told IANS.
Sisodia, who was education and public works department minister in the AAP's 49-day government after the 2013 polls, said the unfinished work which had come to an end Feb 14 last year would begin once again. The AAP government had resigned Feb 14 last year after 49 days in power.
Besides, health and education would be new government's priority, he said. The party has promised 20 new colleges and 30,000 more beds in hospitals.
Sisodia, who retained his Patparganj assembly seat, said the AAP was committed to make Delhi a corruption-free city.
The sailing for the AAP might not be smooth with the BJP-led Narendra Modi government at the centre. Delhi does not enjoy full statehood. The city government does not have law and order and civic agencies under it. These come under the union home ministry.
