The IMD has expressed apprehension that the low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea may soon turn into a cyclonic storm. Because of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many states of South India. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea for the next few days. Along with this, there is a possibility of a strong wind blowing in many areas of South India.
NDRF teams deployed in Tamil Nadu
Because of an IMD alert regarding low pressure over South Andaman Sea, 6 teams of NDRF Arakkonam have been deployed. They have been deployed at Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, and Chennai. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal.
Cold increased with the wind in Delhi-NCR

However, the Meteorological Department has predicted colder in the southwest and south-central districts of the state.

Snowfall is likely in hilly areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of increasing cold in the plains due to snowfall in these areas. According to the information, mercury may fall further in the coming days. Due to this, there are chances of increasing cold in the next few days.
