Weather Update: IMD's alert regarding the cyclonic storm, heavy rain expected in Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh

Along with the hilly areas in the country, the weather has changed in the plains. Winter is increasing in the states of North India. So right there, the rainy season continues in South India. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding the cyclonic storm. According to IMD, there is a possibility of a cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal. IMD says that due to this storm, there may be heavy rains in many states of South India including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh by 8 December.

 

Alert issued regarding cyclonic storm

The IMD has expressed apprehension that the low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea may soon turn into a cyclonic storm. Because of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many states of South India. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea for the next few days. Along with this, there is a possibility of a strong wind blowing in many areas of South India.

 

NDRF teams deployed in Tamil Nadu

Because of an IMD alert regarding low pressure over South Andaman Sea, 6 teams of NDRF Arakkonam have been deployed. They have been deployed at Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, and Chennai. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal.

 

Cold increased with the wind in Delhi-NCR

Cold is being felt in Delhi-NCR since this morning due to the wind. Along with this, smog is also visible in Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR can be 8 degrees and the maximum temperature can be 25 degrees. Let us tell you that the air quality in Delhi-NCR is very bad.

 

How will the weather of UP-Bihar

At the same time, in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of increasing cold in the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, cold may increase in many cities of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, the minimum temperature in Lucknow, the capital of UP, can be 11 degrees and the maximum temperature can be 25 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light fog in the morning for the next 3 to 4 days, while the cold will increase. At the same time, the weather in Bihar will remain normal. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted colder in the southwest and south-central districts of the state.

 

Chance of snowfall in hilly areas

According to the Meteorological Department, the cold will increase in the hilly areas within the next few days. Snowfall is likely in hilly areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of increasing cold in the plains due to snowfall in these areas. According to the information, mercury may fall further in the coming days. Due to this, there are chances of increasing cold in the next few days.

 

How will be the weather in other states

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of change in the weather of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Along with this, there is a possibility of light fog in Punjab, Haryana, Odisha, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.
