NDRF teams deployed in Tamil Nadu
Because of an IMD alert regarding low pressure over South Andaman Sea, 6 teams of NDRF Arakkonam have been deployed. They have been deployed at Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, and Chennai. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal.

However, the Meteorological Department has predicted colder in the southwest and south-central districts of the state.

Snowfall is likely in hilly areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh.
