The issue of wearing hijab for college girls in Karnataka has sparked debate in politics as well as in the film world.
While many film personalities have expressed their opinion on this, there has also been a situation of direct debate between the two actresses.
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been in the news due to her statements, wrote in a comment on her Instagram account, "If you want to show courage, don't wear a burqa in Afghanistan…learn to be free, not to be locked in a cage."
Kangana made this remark while replying to a post written on Twitter, which said how things changed after the revolution in Iran, especially for women.
He wrote, "Correct me if I'm wrong, but Afghanistan is a theocratic nation, and when I last checked India was a secular democratic republic!"
Earlier, Shabana Azmi's husband, poet, and lyricist Javed Akhtar had also made many comments on Twitter on the matter of hijab.
Javed Akhtar wrote, "I have never been a supporter of hijab or burqa. I still believe in the same thing but at the same time, I have hatred for the gangsters who tried to harass some girls, and they are also unnecessary. Is this their idea of manhood? Pity comes."
Actress Richa Chadha has commented while sharing the viral video of a girl wearing a hijab.
She wrote, "Take good care of your kids! Ugly, cowards are swarming and attacking a lone girl and they're proud to do it? Bad guys! Embarrassing! In the next few years, they won't have any There will be no work, no money and they will be even more desperate. Very useless upbringing! I have no sympathy for them. I spit on them like that."
Actress Swara Bhaskar, who has been openly expressing her opinion on controversial issues, has also made many comments on the hijab issue.

Film director Onir has commented on the hijab case while sharing a video.
