When will the first domestic mRNA vaccine for Covid-19 be available? NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul told

There is good news amidst the decreasing corona infection in the country. Soon the country may get the first domestic mRNA (Covid-19 Vaccine). Pune-based Genova Biopharmaceuticals is developing this vaccine. According to Dr. VK Paul, a member of NITI Aayog, the final clinical trial of this vaccine is currently going on. He hoped that soon we would be able to use it. Dr. VK Paul said, “We are happy that significant progress is being made in vaccination. 96 percent of the people of the country have received the first dose of the vaccine. It is like a dream come true for any government. The pace of vaccination is accelerating."

 

Corona cases coming down

 

The havoc of the third wave of the corona epidemic seems to be stopping. According to the Union Health Ministry, there are now a total of 7.9 lakh active cases of corona in India. The Health Ministry said that corona cases are decreasing in the world. 40 percent of the cases are coming from 10 countries. There have been 67084 cases in India in the last 24 hours. The infection rate is 4.4%. According to the ministry, Kerala has the highest number of cases. Apart from this, there has not been much reduction in corona cases in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu as well. Kerala has a 32 percent positivity rate, which was 46 percent in the past. In other states too, the positivity rate is continuously decreasing.

The Union Health Ministry on Thursday amended the guidelines for international arrivals, recommending that all passengers self-monitor their health for the next 14 days instead of 7 days of home quarantine as before. The demarcation of 'at risk countries' and other countries has also been removed in the revised guidelines, which came into effect on February 14. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, "The demarcation of countries at risk and other countries has been removed. There is no need to give samples after arrival and wait till the results are received." By tweeting, he said that the need to conduct an RT-PCR test on the 8th day and upload it on Air Suvidha Portal is over.
