The day-like light at night and the sound of firecrackers fired by the devotees along with the tune of bhajans used to disturb the sleep of the people living in the colonies falling on the way.

The people of NRI Green Colony started protesting against the padayatra. Not only this, the women of the colony protested against the night padayatra of Saint Premanand by holding placards in their hands. They have written in the placards, 'Which devotion, which darshan, this is only a show of power.'
'Loud noises are heard, crackers are burst'
The protesting women said that during the padayatra, loud noises are heard, and crackers burst. Sick elderly people face problems. Many women teach in schools, their sleep is disturbed due to noise at night and they are not able to go to school in the morning.
Padyatra postponed indefinitely
The padyatra of Sant Premanand has been postponed indefinitely. This decision was taken in view of the problems of the people. On Thursday, information regarding the postponement of the padyatra was shared by his ashram on the official Facebook page Bhajan Marg and other social media platforms. This padyatra has been postponed indefinitely.

Regarding the protest by the colony residents, the ashram says that the devotees who stand on the roadside and sing bhajans during the padyatra have nothing to do with the followers of Saint Premananda or the ashram. Many times, even after being forbidden, people sing bhajans on loudspeakers. The ashram has always appealed to not make any kind of noise display during the padyatra.
