Which vehicles will be allowed entry, and which will be banned? Know the Delhi government's new order regarding pollution control.

Given the severe pollution and health emergency-like situation in Delhi, the Delhi government has implemented strict restrictions. Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that these decisions were taken keeping in mind the health of the people.

 

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that from Thursday morning, December 18th, only BS-6 vehicles registered in other states will be allowed to enter Delhi.

 

Along with this, the entry of all BS-2, BS-3, and BS-4 vehicles will be restricted until further notice. This includes private cars, taxis, school buses, and commercial vehicles.

 

When will the rules be implemented?

All these rules will be effective from Thursday morning, December 18th.

 

 

Which vehicles will be allowed entry into Delhi?

Only BS-6 petrol and diesel vehicles registered in other states.

All electric and CNG vehicles, regardless of their state of registration.

 

 

Which vehicles will be restricted from entering?

The entry of all BS-2, BS-3, and BS-4 category vehicles registered in other states will be restricted.

This includes private cars, taxis, school buses, and all types of commercial vehicles.

 

 

What about vehicles from other states already operating in Delhi?

Vehicles registered in other states and already operating within Delhi will be checked.

If a vehicle does not meet BS-6 standards, it will be seized.

 

 

What will be the impact on interstate bus services?

Since most interstate buses are of the BS-4 diesel category, their operation may also be affected.

 

 

What about vehicles without a PUCC?

From December 18th, no vehicle will be given petrol or diesel without a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC).

Vehicles will be checked at petrol pumps using the ANPR system.

 

 

What if the PUCC is from another state?

A PUCC certificate is valid throughout the country.

If the PUCC issued from another state is valid and has not expired, fuel will be provided.

 

 

What are the orders regarding the transportation of construction materials?

The transportation of construction materials will be completely prohibited. Whether the goods are being brought into Delhi from outside or being transported from one place to another within Delhi, such vehicles will be stopped and seized at the Delhi border.

 

 

What if the vehicle is CNG or electric and registered outside Delhi?

Such vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi.

The restrictions apply only to petrol and diesel vehicles that are of a category lower than BS-6.
