The credit for promoting Congress Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, who came into limelight due to the recovery of cash worth Rs 500 crore, goes to former Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu.

Due to his family background in Congress, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu was associated with the organization in 1977 itself. 64-year-old Dheeraj Prasad Sahu first joined NSUI, the student wing of Congress. Later he joined Lohardaga District Committee and State Committee of Congress.

Won Rajya Sabha by-election in 2009

Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu gave him a big opportunity and fielded him in the Rajya Sabha by-election in 2009, which he won. Even in 2010, he was successful in entering the Upper House. Dheeraj Sahu's brother Gopal Sahu has also been the treasurer of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress.

This family is known as the fund manager of the party. However, Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, who played an important role in sending Dheeraj Prasad Sahu to the Rajya Sabha for the first time, is still in the political background.

He even changed parties in the 2019 assembly elections. He has returned once again. Balmuchu has still come out openly in defense of Dheeraj Sahu. He has claimed that BJP state president Babulal Marandi has also been obliged to Dheeraj Prasad Sahu.

It would be better if they ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to get the cash recovery investigated by the ED and CBI. According to Balmuchu, Dheeraj Sahu is a family businessman, and whatever amount has been recovered is his legitimate earnings.

Work from liquor, hotel to automobile

Dheeraj Sahu's family is a big business house in Jharkhand. From the country liquor business to the hotel business and agencies of many big companies.

This family has also invested in the automobile sector. Apart from this, this family has agencies of many FMCG companies including bottling plants, and hospitals.
