Considering this meeting will be held on match day, it seems unlikely that Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and other senior players will be invited.

With both Gambhir and Agarkar present at the meeting, the board wants to gain clarity on certain aspects of management and plan for the future accordingly.
The official said, "There have been many confusing tactics both on and off the field during the home Test season. We want clarity and a forward-looking plan, especially with the next Test series eight months away." The official further said, "India will be a strong contender to win the T20 World Cup next year and the ODI World Cup after that, so we want these issues resolved quickly."

This situation points to a possible communication gap between the management and senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. There were rumors that the BCCI wanted Kohli to refuse to retire from Test cricket, but the legendary batsman put an end to the possibility of such a U-turn after the Ranchi ODI on Sunday.
