Vijay Hazare Trophy: 15 fours and 8 sixes... Dhruv Jurel smashes his first List A century.

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel has scored his first List A century. In the third-round match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025, the Uttar Pradesh team is facing Baroda. In this match being played in Rajkot, UP's wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel wreaked havoc with the bat, playing an unbeaten innings of 160 runs off 101 balls.

 

 

This was also his first century in his List A career. Dhruv scored this century off 78 balls, helping the UP team post a total of 369 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their first innings. Earlier, Dhruv had also scored half-centuries in the first two matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

 

 

Dhruv Jurel's First List: A Cricket Century

The 24-year-old Dhruv Jurel (Dhruv Jurel List-A Century), batting at number 3, counter-attacked the Baroda bowlers and hit a flurry of fours and sixes. He particularly targeted Rasikh Salam, scoring 55 runs off 14 balls in his over. Jurel had a fantastic start to the Vijay Hazare Trophy for UP. He scored half-centuries in the first two rounds against Hyderabad and Chandigarh.

 

 

It is worth noting that Jurel was part of India's ODI squad for the series against South Africa and Australia, but he did not get a chance to play in any match.

 

 

Rinku Singh also scores a half-century.

Apart from Dhruv Jurel's unbeaten innings of 160 runs, Abhishek Goswami scored 51 runs, while captain Rinku Singh scored 63 runs for the UP team. Prashant Veer contributed 35 runs. The UP team scored 369 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after batting first.
