Where earlier this year, the opening of the schools was also clearly indicated, but now that more than one lakh new cases of Covid-19 are coming up every day, be helpless to close the educational institutions again. The decision was taken. It is clear from the frightening figures coming every day that the country is in the grip of another big wave of Corona. Due to this, the weekend lockdown and night curfew has been imposed in the most infected state of Maharashtra in the country. The country's capital Delhi also has a night curfew. Apart from this, in Uttar Pradesh also today i.e. from April 8, the administration has announced to impose night curfew. Several other states have also imposed restrictions such as weekend lockdown and night curfew.
If we look at the statistics of the Union Health Ministry, on Wednesday, a total of 1,26,789 new cases of Covid-19 were reported and 685 infected people died. With this, the total number of infected people in the country so far stood at 1,29,28,574 and the death toll due to corona infection increased to 1,66,862.
Maharashtra is unhappy with Corona
The situation in Maharashtra, the most infected state of the country, is very bad. More than 50 percent of the country's total new cases are coming from Maharashtra alone. The Uddhav government has also announced weekend lockdown and night curfew in the state. Only on Wednesday, 59,907 new cases of corona infection were reported in Maharashtra. While 30,296 people recovered. With this, 322 people died in Maharashtra in one day. So far, 31,73,261 cases of corona have been reported in Maharashtra and 56,652 people have died due to corona infection so far.
Night curfew in these cities of Uttar Pradesh from today
The local administration has announced a night curfew in Lucknow, Varanasi, and Kanpur because of the fury of Corona in Uttar Pradesh. A new guideline was released for this. Tonight, there will be a night curfew from 9 am to 6 am each day. At present, this curfew will remain till 6 am on April 16. Apart from this, a night curfew has also been imposed in Prayagraj, Kanpur, Banaras, and Noida. During the night curfew, there will be an exemption for transporting essential items. According to the Uttar Pradesh government, all the big parks operated by Lucknow Development Authority will be open only between 7-10 am and 4-8 pm. It will be necessary to apply masks and maintain social distancing. Admission of more than 65 years of age, co-morbidity, pregnant women, and children below 10 years of age will be restricted.
Night curfew in Delhi and Punjab
There will be a night curfew in Delhi from 10 am to 5 am. However, people associated with essential services are exempted in the meantime. At the same time, a night curfew has been imposed in Punjab from 9 am to 5 am. Earlier, a night curfew was imposed in 12 districts till 10 April. Now its duration has been extended to 30 April by applying it to the entire state. The Chief Minister of the state, Captain Amarinder Singh, while reviewing the current situation of Corona in the state, has directed to take strict measures. Political rallies etc. have also been banned in the state.
Restrictions in Gujarat as well, night curfew in 20 cities
The Gujarat government took an important decision because of the increasing cases of Corona. Night curfew started from 8 am to 6 am last night in 20 cities of the city. Also 100 people have been allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. Grand events were postponed until 30 April. Government offices will also be closed till 30 April on Saturday.
Many cities of Madhya Pradesh lockdown
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh today said that appropriate action will be taken in cities where there are more cases of Covid-19 infection. Because of the situation of Covid-19, a lockdown has been imposed in all urban areas of Madhya Pradesh from 6 pm Friday to 6 am Monday. The lockdown has been announced in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, from 8 pm on the night of 7 April to 6 am on 10 April. At the same time, the lockdown has been imposed in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Vidisha, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Barwani, Betul, Khargone, and Ratlam only on Sunday. Apart from this, strictness will be done with those coming to Madhya Pradesh from other states and planning is being done for this. Under this, centers will be set up in rural areas where citizens of other states can be isolated.
Night curfew in ten districts of Odisha
The state government of Odisha has implemented a night curfew in ten districts. There will be curfew in Sundergarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Balangirbalanagir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur districts from 10 am to 5 am. During the night curfew, there will be an exemption for only essential things.
Chhattisgarh in grip of Corona, complete lockdown in many districts
Because of increasing corona cases in the state of Chhattisgarh, complete lockdown has been implemented in many districts. Additional Superintendent of Police said, 'The lockdown will be from April 6 to April 14. Police will be patrolling from place to place. Action will be taken for violation of rules. Lockdown has been imposed in Durg, Rajnandgaon etc. areas of Chhattisgarh. A ten-day lockdown has been imposed in Raipur. Announcing this, Raipur District Collector S. Bharti Dasan said that keeping in mind the situation of Covid, Raipur district has been declared as a Containment Area on April 9 from 6 pm to 19 April. All the boundaries of the district will remain sealed during this period. It is noteworthy that the central government decided to send high-level teams to the corona-affected districts of the state. More than 7,000 new cases of Corona were reported in the state on Monday.
Know the state of Bihar and Jharkhand
The Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand ordered the imposition of the night curfew across the state. Under this, all schools, colleges, gyms, cinema halls, parks, and public places in the state will remain closed till further orders. With this decision, the state government again approved the partial lockdown in the state. At the same time, in Bihar too, all educational institutions have been closed till April 11 because of the increasing cases of corona. The state government says that it is constantly alert about the corona and is keeping an eye on the situation. Health Minister Mangal Pandey has said that at present, the situation in the state is not like that a lockdown should be imposed.
Restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir too
Because of the increasing cases of Corona, schools in Jammu and Kashmir have been closed since Monday. The holidays of doctors, nurses, and other paramedical staff have been canceled in Kashmir. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is constantly monitoring the situation in the state.
