World Population Day 2022: Today is World Population Day, on this occasion the population fortnight started at the CM residence in Lucknow. On this occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed concern over the increasing population and said that the population control program went ahead successfully, but the situation of demographic imbalance could not arise. CM Yogi said that "we all know that for the last five years, mass awareness programs are being run across the country regarding population stabilization, the population on a certain scale is also the achievement of the society, but this achievement is only when the society is healthy and healthy." to achieve the state of health.

Increasing population hinders the development

CM Yogi Adityanath said that UP has improved its record in maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate as compared to earlier, but it needs to be improved further. If we talk about Uttar Pradesh, then the population here is around 25 crores. It can be the fifth largest country in the world in terms of population. CM Yogi said that many times it has been said that many problems remain in the state due to the increased population.

Many important things in population control policy

In August last year, the Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission submitted a draft to the Chief Minister regarding the population control policy and now it is awaited when will this population control policy be finally implemented in the state. Justice AN Mittal, then chairman of the UP State Law Commission, had prepared a draft population control. Many important things were said in this draft. Those who have more than 2 children will not be given government jobs and those who are in government jobs will not get a promotion.

Know the suggestions received regarding population control

In fact, in this 260-page report, the State Law Commission also sought an opinion from the common people on all things. For which more than 8500 suggestions were received by the Law Commission, these suggestions were kept in 57 categories. According to this, those who have more than 2 children will not be able to get the benefit of 77 government schemes. At the same time, there were some suggestions in which it was also forbidden to contest the election of MLA and MP if there are more than 2 children. Some have suggested that those who have two daughters should be allowed a third child and those who have one child should get many benefits.

Population policy is waiting to be implemented, but BJP leaders are saying that there is a need to control the population in Uttar Pradesh, as well as the proportion of the population is not right, it also needs to be corrected, so clearly for this. Agreed and soon the government will also see a drastic step moving in this direction.
