Islamic extremism in Britain is becoming a major threat to the country. Along with this, the radical thinking of British Muslims and Khalistani supporters on the issue of Kashmir is also becoming a matter of concern. This has been disclosed in the review report of a plan made to stop terrorism. Now the plan has been recommended for improvement.
The name of the anti-terrorist plan of the British government is 'Prevent Strategy'. Its review warns that Pakistan's rhetoric on Kashmir is hurting the Muslim community in Britain. It is working to incite anti-India sentiment in them. Not only this, it was said that pro-Khalistan groups are also spreading anti-India lies.
Terrorists caught in Britain had spread violence in Kashmir
William Shawcross, Commissioner of Public Appointments, who reviewed, said – There are some terrorists caught in Britain who first spread violence in Kashmir and then later joined Al-Qaeda. Along with this, Pakistani clerics are also promoting the feeling of violence in the minds of UK Muslims regarding Kashmir.
He said – pro-Khalistan groups active in Britain are also spreading anti-India lies. They are spreading rumors that the British government is working against Sikhs in collaboration with India.
Islamic extremists carried out terrorist activities
The review has found that Islamic extremism poses the greatest risk of terrorism spreading to the UK. Whatever terrorist activities have taken place in the country in the past or the conspiracies foiled by the Intelligence Unit, most of them were carried out by Islamic fanatics.
The recommendations of the review report will be implemented soon.
UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman told the House of Commons (Lower House of Parliament) that work is being done to implement the recommendations given in the review report so that the threat related to terrorism in the country can be reduced. An Indian-origin minister told MPs that we need to better understand the threats we face. We have to work together with Muslim communities to deal with them.
