In the assembly elections 2017, BJP had promised a free laptop and internet scheme in the public welfare resolution letter. All the youths of the state were promised free laptops and 1GB of data book per month under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Internet Scheme without admission of college, irrespective of caste and religion.
However, earlier, the Yogi government had also started a plan to name the road up to the 10th 12th class toppers' house. Till now the street and street of the tenth-twelfth topper have been named in different districts of the state.
