After demolishing the house, office, and complex of former MP Atiq Ahmed, the administration will now recover the cost of breaking it. In this, the rent of JCB, daily wages of laborers as well as the expenses of officers and police force will also be recovered from Atiq. For this, officers of the Development Authority, Administration, and Police are preparing the accounts of the expenditure of their departments. It has been estimated to cost around Rs 25 lakh. RC will be issued against Atik for non-payment.
The Prayagraj Development Authority has so far demolished ten buildings, including Atik's house, office. Police and district administration have also been involved in this action. The PDA action consists of half a dozen officers, a whole team of enforcement teams, and fifty policemen. Four to six JCBs are used in each action. More than 70 laborers were employed to vacate Atik's house and office. Every day salary from officer to employee will also be taken from Atik. JCBs of PDAs were also hired along with JCBs of PDAs in action. Along with the police, a company of PAC was also engaged in the demolition of the house. Preparations are being made to recover all these expenses from Atiq. If sources are to be believed, the cost incurred in the action taken against Atiq will be worked out in a week.
Fort-like housebroken in five and a half hours:
On Tuesday, the Prayagraj Development Authority, along with the police administration, took the biggest action against Atiq Ahmed and his brother former MLA Ashraf. The ancestral house of Atik Ahmed in Chakia was demolished by installing Pokeland and JCB. In about 5:30 hours, his fort was built like a house. During this time the force was so numerous that no one dared to protest. According to the authority's secretary Dayanand Prasad, land was illegally constructed by occupying about 4 bighas. Action was taken after its investigation. Top officials of the Development Authority, Administration, and Police reached Chakia with PAC, RAF, and Fire Brigade at 11 am on Tuesday. A siege was laid around Atik's house first. Subsequently, police along with Pokeland and seven JCBs began the dismantling of illegal construction. Meanwhile, Atik Ahmed's wife Shaista Begum and her three sons along with their lawyers and laborers were engaged in getting the goods out of the house. On one side the goods were being taken out of the room, on the other hand, JCB was demolishing that part. The house like Atik's fort was demolished in a few hours.
