Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Garg's family and friends, along with numerous prominent figures, paid tribute to the singer before his funeral.
Jubin Garg was given a full state funeral. The Assam Police acted as hearse bearers, firing a gun salute as his body was carried along the highway to the cremation ground. All vehicular traffic was halted on the route, and a dry day was declared in all areas, including Meghalaya.
