Young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi created a storm in the second Youth ODI match against South Africa Under-19, shattering records in the process.
Vaibhav scored a half-century in just 15 balls, setting a new record for the fastest fifty by an Indian in Youth ODI cricket. In doing so, he broke the previous record held by Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant.

In fact, while chasing a target of 246 runs, the young opener of the Indian Under-19 cricket team, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, scored a half-century in 15 balls. He surpassed Pant's record. In the 2016 Under-19 World Cup against Nepal in Dhaka, Pant had scored the fastest half-century in 18 balls, but now Vaibhav has broken that record.
The Indian Under-19 captain played a brilliant innings of 68 runs off 24 balls, which included 1 four and 10 sixes. The 14-year-old Vaibhav also holds the record for the fastest century in this tournament, where he scored a century off 52 balls against England in Worcester last year.
IND U19 Vs SA U19 2nd ODI: India takes a 2-0 lead
In the second Youth ODI match between India and South Africa (India U19 vs South Africa U19 2nd ODI) played in Benoni, South Africa suffered an 8-wicket defeat against India under the Duckworth-Lewis method. Rain interrupted the match, resulting in India being given a revised target of 174 runs in 27 overs.
Team India achieved this target in 23.3 overs with the loss of two wickets. Batting first, the South African team was all out for 245 runs in 49.3 overs. India got off to a brilliant start thanks to Vaibhav, but rain interrupted the match after the 11th over, and after a long delay, the number of overs was reduced. India was given a target of 174 runs. With this victory, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
