New Delhi, March 4 (IANS) In a procedure that lasted over eight hours, doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here have successfully removed a 17-kg tumour from the abdomen of a woman, a statement said on Wednesday.
N. Devi, a resident of Bihar, had a "rapidly progressive huge mass abdomen" for the past nine months and even after the patient underwent ovarian cystectomy and chemotherapy in March, 2014, the tumour kept on growing, the hospital said.
