The 3000 kg of drugs seized from Mundra Adani port on 15th September has raised the concerns of the authorities. Officials fear that after the Taliban rule in Afghanistan, the supply of drugs to the Indian subcontinent will increase and this will lead to a new crisis. In such a situation, it is expected that after such a huge consignment of drugs is caught and the drug network is busted, the Indian government can hand over its investigation to the NIA.
Evidence found in dry run
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has made a new disclosure in the 3000 kg drugs case. Directorate officials said that a drug runners dry run was conducted at Kutch port on June 9. Based on the evidence from this dry run, the DRI, with the help of security agencies like IB, RAW, and NIA, carried out such a massive operation at Mundra port and busted the drug network spread in India by Afghan citizens.

The drug crisis in India
