Most of the 53 percent residents of Delhi-NCR surveyed said that no one around them has been infected and three percent said they cannot say anything about it. About 43 percent of the people said that their family or someone close to them has been affected by dengue this year.

Sachin Taparia, Founder of, LocalCircles said that LocalCircles saw a more than 100 percent increase in requests for blood platelets week-on-week for the past six weeks. The survey found that not only Delhi but NCR is also badly affected by dengue. It also suggests the immediate intervention of the authorities to control and reduce the spread as well as additional health care services.
