IndiGo flight going from Delhi to Srinagar was caught in bad weather on Wednesday. The passengers sitting in the plane faced turbulence during this time. Everyone was shocked to see the scene inside the plane. After this, the pilot informed the Air Traffic Control in Srinagar about the emergency. Later this plane was landed safely.

There were more than 227 passengers on this plane. All the passengers are safe.

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that during bad weather, the pilot of the plane sought permission from Lahore Air Fic Control to use Pakistan's airspace. However, it was denied by Pakistan.

The matter is being investigated.

Sources claimed that the incident of facing severe turbulence in flight 6E 2142 is being investigated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Let us tell you that there were more than 200 passengers on this plane. The plane going from Delhi to Srinagar suddenly faced hailstorm. After this, the pilot immediately informed the ATC about this, after which the plane could land safely.

Lahore ATC was not permitted to pass through Pakistani airspace.

It is said that when this Indigo plane was flying over Amritsar, changes in the weather were felt. After which the pilot sought permission from Lahore Air Traffic Control (ATC) to pass through Pakistan's airspace. Sources told PTI that Lahore ATC rejected this request of the pilot. After which the plane had to face turbulence and the passengers had to face a lot of trouble.

Pakistan has closed its airspace for Indian planes.

Actually, after the Pahalgam attack on April 22, Pakistan closed its airspace for India. In the same way, India has also closed its airspace for Pakistani airlines. 26 innocent people were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

The airline company's statement came out.

On the other hand, a statement was issued by the airline company IndiGo in this regard on Thursday. The airline said in its statement that its flight 6E 2142, flying from Delhi to Srinagar on May 21, 2025, landed safely at Srinagar International Airport, avoiding a sudden hailstorm.

The airline company said that all the customers were taken care of upon landing and no injuries were reported. The aircraft is currently undergoing necessary inspection and maintenance in Srinagar and will resume operations after getting all the approvals.
