5 killed in commotion at Kabul airport, US Army fired; rapidly deteriorating situation in Afghanistan

At least five people are reported dead in the uproar at Kabul Airport in Afghanistan. International agencies claim that the situation at the airport is still uncontrollable. Mohammad Naeem said that the Taliban do not want to live in isolation. He said that it will be clear soon about what kind of governance system will be in Afghanistan.

 

President Ashraf Ghani has fled the country after the Taliban entered the capital Kabul on Sunday, according to Reuters. A Taliban spokesman said no embassy or any headquarters in the capital had been targeted. Those diplomats or civilians who want to leave from here, the Taliban will give them a way to get out safely.

 

In 2001, the US-led forces in Afghanistan ousted the Taliban from power. But gradually this group strengthened itself rapidly and now once again it has captured almost the whole of Afghanistan.
