
Former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren passed away on Monday morning. Shibu Soren breathed his last at Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. Various leaders are expressing grief over the death of Shibu Soren and paying tribute. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief over the death of former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren and tweeted, 'Shibu Soren was a grassroots leader who progressed in public life with unwavering dedication to the people. He was particularly committed to empowering tribal communities, the poor, and the underprivileged. His demise is saddening. My condolences are with his family and supporters. Spoke to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren ji and expressed condolences. Om Shanti.'
On the death of Shibu Soren, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said, 'Shibu Soren was a symbol of the loudest voice, biggest identity and highest respect of the tribals not only in Jharkhand but also at the national level. Be it as the CM of Jharkhand or at the Center, he always talked about the rights of the poor, laborers, and especially the tribals. I don't think there is any bigger (tribal) face than his. I pay tribute to him.'
Priyanka Gandhi also expressed grief.
On the death of Shibu Soren, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi said 'I have messaged Kalpana ji (Kalpana Soren). This is very sad news for all of us. We express our condolences to his family, our prayers are with them.'
Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said on the death of Shibu Soren, 'His (Shibu Soren's) health was very delicate for some time. Today I had to read this news with great sadness. Today, our leader Shibu Soren ji is no more among us. My condolences are with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his entire family. He had raised his voice for the people of various tribal societies.'
Rajnath Singh also expressed grief over the death of Shibu Soren.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, 'Shibu Soren ji, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and one of the seniormost leaders of the country, was counted among the stalwart leaders of Jharkhand who fought for the rights and empowerment of the weaker sections of society, especially the tribal community, throughout his life. He was always connected to the ground and the people. I had a long acquaintance with him. I am deeply saddened by his demise. My condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti!'
