The minister also claimed that western countries would have no problem procuring subsidized fuel from Pakistan. He said that his country is grappling with the devastating effects of the floods.

"Russia has emerged as a new supplier for us. We see Russia as a long-term and stable partner when it comes to our food supply," the ambassador said.
