The terrorists involved in the attack near Delhi's Red Fort, who were part of a sophisticated terrorist module, received training in handling weapons, planting IEDs, and operating drones in the forests of Anantnag and Kulgam in South Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at several locations in Anantnag and Kulgam on Tuesday.
According to sources, the NIA team was accompanied by terrorist Dr. Adil Rather and his associate Jasir Bilal. However, the NIA had not confirmed this by late night.
Related sources said the NIA team took Adil Rather and Jasir Bilal Wani to a specific individual's house in the upper reaches of Mattan in Anantnag and to the Hatmura forest.
The NIA team also took them to a hill adjacent to Qazigund (Kulgam). Although there has been no official confirmation, it is being reported that Adil and Jasir identified the places where they met with other terrorists and some of their overground workers.
They also showed the place where they allegedly practiced operating drones, handling weapons, and preparing and planting IEDs for the terrorist attack. Sources said the NIA team recovered some equipment and other items based on the information provided by Adil and Jasir, which will be investigated.

Jassir Bilal's father, distraught over his son's involvement in terrorism, committed suicide on November 16th.
