His only compulsion was that he did not have money left to take care of his family. According to media reports, 55-year-old Qurban had made a deal for his nine-year-old daughter Parwana last month. Talking to the media, Abdul Malik says that there are eight people in his family. All used to live in the camp in the past, but have lost their jobs since the Taliban rule. To feed the family, he had earlier sold his 12-year-old daughter, now he also had to deal with a nine-year-old's license.

Parwana's father Abdul Malik says that Parwana wanted to study a lot and wanted to become a teacher when she grew up, but it happened to her due to the financial condition of the family. He said that two years after his daughter, a lot of Afghan rupees were settled. Two days after the deal was finalized, Qurbana came and paid the money and took the permit with him. A similar case had also come to the fore in neighboring Ghor province, where a deal was struck between a 10-year-old Magul and a 70-year-old man.
