Southwest Monsoon IMD Alert: Southwest Monsoon finally reached Goa on Friday with a delay of a few days from the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Since Friday morning, the effect of the monsoon was visible in both the districts of Goa - North Goa and South Goa and it rained continuously.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, on June 10, the monsoon has made progress in some more parts of the Central Arabian Sea as well as the whole of Goa and some adjoining Konkan areas. Due to this, there is a possibility of torrential rains in these areas for the next 3-4 days. During this, the wind is forecast to blow at a speed of about 40 kilometers per hour.

IMD gave this advice to fishermen

The Goa government has banned deep sea fishing since June 1. Nevertheless, the Indian Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to go into the sea at all till June 14. According to IMD, now the monsoon will move rapidly towards the rest of Maharashtra.

Heavy rain here for the next 5 days

Southwest Monsoon has advanced to some more parts of the Central Arabian Sea, which includes the entire Goa, parts of Konkan, and some more parts of Karnataka. Intense rain is very likely to continue over Northeast India and the Sub-Himalayan region, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 5 days.

Heatwave will continue to wreak havoc here

With this, heat wave conditions are likely to continue over isolated parts of North-West, Central, and adjoining East India during the next two days.
