Efforts are on to stop Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow, while instructions have been issued to stop Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister at Lucknow airport.
The Yogi Adityanath government has also brought the situation under control there. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar along with senior police officers and Additional Chief Secretary Devesh Chaturvedi and Agriculture Production Commissioner are in Lakhimpur. Section 144 has been imposed in the district, while after two rounds of talks with farmer leader Rakesh Tikait of Lakhimpur Kheri district administration, the third round of talks is also going on. A case has also been registered against 14 people, including Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, in connection with the death of four farmers.
Akhilesh Yadav and Professor Ramgopal Yadav are in custody in Lucknow
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav as well as the party's chief national general secretary Professor Ram Gopal Yadav have been detained by the police from Vikramaditya Marg. There the workers of the Samajwadi Party were also performing while lying on the ground. All of them were opposing the detention of Akhilesh Yadav. Meanwhile, the police vehicle of Gautam Palli police station was also set on fire by some people. After which the police used mild force.
