Like previous years, this time also there will be no Namaaz on the road or in a public place. DGP Prashant Kumar has given strict instructions to senior officers regarding this. It has been said that no permission should be given to any new tradition anywhere.
The DGP has instructed to take extra vigil in mixed population areas as well as identify sensitive areas and keep constant surveillance with drones and CCTV cameras. Senior officers should hold a meeting with religious leaders. Full cooperation of elite citizens should also be taken in maintaining peace and order.
Instructions to keep a close watch on anti-social and mischievous elements
He said that a strict watch should be kept on anti-social and mischievous elements and those trying to create disturbance anywhere should be dealt with strictly. Senior officers have been told to patrol mixed population areas in all districts with police, PAC and Central Armed Police Force and remain mobile in the field. Information about even a small incident should be taken with utmost seriousness and prompt action should be ensured.
Intelligence systems are also active
He said that monitoring of all internet media platforms has also been increased. Additional PAC and police have also been deployed in sensitive districts. It has been said that in view of the festival of Eid, the police should regularly patrol on foot in markets and public places. Intelligence system has also been activated.
