Vivek Agnihotri's most awaited film The Bengal Files pre-released in New Jersey. After The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, this is the third and final installment of the Files trilogy that highlights another unheard chapter of modern Indian history.

Vivek Agnihotri's The Bengal Files, released in North Brunswick, New Jersey, was liked so much by the audience that they were forced to clap in the theater. The director has shared a video on his Instagram account in which people are clapping and sharing reviews of the film.

One called the film a haunting movie, while another said it was an eye-opener. One said he had no words. He is speechless and still trembling. One said he left for a second so he could control his emotions. One said, "This is a wake-up call. If we don't wake up, Bengal will be gone. I request everyone to watch this film." One said it is still disturbing him.

 

What is the story of The Bengal Files?

The Vivek Agnihotri-directed film is based on the communal violence that took place in undivided Bengal in the 1940s, especially the Great Calcutta Killings and Noakhali riots of 1946. The film stars veteran actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles. The film will be released in Indian theaters on 5 September 2025.
