All new national highways will have helipads, and with the help of this, immediate help will be provided: Scindia

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that all new national highways to be built in the country will have helipads. Through this, immediate help can be provided in case of emergency. Scindia gave this information while addressing the conference of Civil Aviation Ministers of the states.

 

Domestic air passengers increased by 64.61 percent in September

On the other hand, the number of domestic air passengers increased by 64.61 percent to 13.35 lakh in September as compared to the same period last year. Domestic airlines carried more than 7 million passengers to their destinations. DGCA data shows that the average PLF to airlines stood at 77.5 percent in September as against the Passenger Load Factor (PLF) of 72.5 percent in August 2022.

 

Vistara carried 9.96 lakh passengers to the destination

PLF is a standard that shows how much passenger capacity an airline has utilized. In terms of market share, IndiGo has carried 59.72 lakh domestic passengers to their destinations. Its share stood at 57 percent. Vistara carried 9.96 lakh passengers to the destination. The combined market share of Vistara, Air India, and AirAsia India stood at 24.7 percent in September.

 

Vistara has been the best when it comes to departure and running on time. 91 percent of its flights not only run on time but also arrive from four major airports, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore airports. The Tata group holds a 51 percent stake in Vistara and 83.67 percent in AirAsia India. Recently the Tata group acquired Air India.
