Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the batches for Baltal and Pahalgam base camps from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu early this morning. 4000 to 5000 devotees are expected to go in the first batch. The Amarnath Yatra will start from July 3. This 38-day-long yatra will conclude on August 9. LG Manoj Sinha has flagged off the first batch.

Registration
So far, there have been up to 3.50 lakh advance registrations, more than 4500 tokens issued in two days in Jammu, and up to 2500 instant registrations.

Around 1 lakh security personnel deployed from Lakhanpur in Kathua to the holy cave

Around 25,000 personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police were deployed
Traffic
Vehicles going from Jammu to Srinagar will be allowed on the national highway from 6 am.
Heavy vehicles after 10 pm and small vehicles after noon will not be allowed to go beyond Nagrota.
Kunjwani, Bajalta Mor, Sidhra Bridge, Atal Chowk, TCP Nagrota, and Manda have been cut-off points in Jammu city. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to go from these points from 10 pm, and small vehicles after noon.
During the passage of the convoy, traffic will remain closed on these roads in Jammu.
