E-commerce company Amazon may lay off more than 17,000 employees. According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon has been in the process of layoffs since November. At that time the company was planning to lay off 10,000 employees. However, now this figure has increased by more than 7 thousand. The company remained silent when asked questions on the matter by the news agency Reuters. In addition, Salesforce Inc said on Wednesday that it also plans to make cuts. Amazon gives jobs to 1.6 million people every year.

  In November last year, a New York Times report came out, according to which the company is thinking of laying off more than 10,000 employees. Explain that Amazon employs more than 1.6 million people globally. The job cuts were reported to be focused on Amazon's devices unit, which includes voice-assistant Alexa, and its retail and human resources divisions.
