Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Deoband during his visit to West UP on Saturday. Shah is the first Home Minister after 1952, who reached Deoband but left here after staying here for just 17 minutes. Shah reached here at 2.32 pm and left at 2.49 pm. A huge crowd gathered on the streets of Deoband in support of Shah. Barely 10 minutes Shah campaigned door-to-door. After that, they left for Saharanpur from here. Darul Uloom is the apex body of Islamic Markaz in Deoband.

Shah's focus on West UP
On 23 January i.e. Saturday, Shah reached Kairana and raised the issue of migration. Exactly a week later today they are in western UP. Shah's focus is on this part of the state, where he wants to increase the support base for the party. It is also part of this strategy to air issues like migration and riots. Today Shah will reach Saharanpur via Deoband. In Deoband, he will communicate with the voters and appeal for votes for BJP candidate Brijesh Singh.

Recalling the couplet of Kabirdasji, Shah said that if the vote goes with the SP-BSP, then the mafia will rule again. If we go with BJP, then UP will become the number one state.

After interacting with the workers, Shah has left for door-to-door public relations. Here he bowed down to the Shiva idol. Shah is campaigning door-to-door here. Shah sought votes in support of the party's candidate from Sadar assembly constituency, Kapil Dev Agarwal.
Killed in West UP
In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP won 53 out of 64 seats in West UP in the Modi-Yogi wave. But about 700 farmers lost their lives in getting the three agricultural laws back.
