Internet: 5G service will now be available in India from October 1, the government has received a record Rs 1.5 lakh crore for 71% spectrum, and four companies were involved in the race for the auction, as expected, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio is the biggest Became a buyer, the company has bought spectrum worth more than Rs 88 thousand crores, second is Sunil Mittal's Airtel, the company spent more than 43 thousand crores, Vodafone invested Rs 18 thousand 799 crores, Gautam Adani's Adani data network 212 crores, although the company has made it clear that it will use this spectrum for industrial use and not for consumers.

It is worth noting that telecom companies in India have been providing the facility of 4G Internet (4th Generation Mobile Network) to people for a long time. Due to this people are getting internet speed faster than the mobile network apart from Wi-Fi, but the introduction of 5G services will revolutionize the internet sector of India. In such a situation, it is important to know how the 5G network will benefit India. We also know that 5G is the next generation leap, so let us know about 5G services.

5G will change the way we 'communicate'

There is no doubt that 5G connectivity will change the way people 'communicate'. This next-generation technology will provide faster speed and less time internet facility, whereas earlier only such speed was available on optical fiber broadband which also provided connectivity to other devices at high speed.

In developed countries like the US, 5G internet has had a poor start, as network carriers were forced to share airwaves with older 4G/LTE technologies. Will the same fate befall the 5G rollout in India? It is important to know this.

13 cities will be connected with the scheme

There is provision for small cells, electric poles, access to street furniture, etc. for easy and smooth deployment of the 5G network. The services will be launched in a phased manner and 13 cities will get 5G internet services during the first phase. This includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune.

Rate will not increase much

Like 3G and 4G, telecom companies will also announce dedicated 5G tariff plans soon and according to industry experts, consumers may pay more for using 5G services on their devices.

A recent report by Nomura Global Markets Research estimated that telecom service providers will have two options, either a modest 4 percent incremental tariff hike on their overall subscriber base or a 30 percent premium increase from 1.5 GB per day 4G plans. be done. Airtel CTO Randeep Sekhon had said in a recent report that globally, there is no major difference between 5G and 4G tariffs.

Current status of 5G in India

Recently, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Modi approved the proposal for the auction of the 5G spectrum in the country. A total of 72097.85 MHz spectrum was auctioned for a validity of 20 years till the end of July 2022.

How will India benefit from 5G?

5G will bring new possibilities to India, which can benefit the users in the country more. At the same time, apart from high-speed surfing and better connectivity, new technology will rapidly advance the reach of services like healthcare and mobile banking.

Along with this, new doors will open for unemployment or unemployed people in the country. Not only this, but with the advent of 5G, we will be able to see the transformation of existing Tier 3 cities into smart cities. It will also help people and businesses to grow faster.

At the same time, shortly, due to the 5G advanced digital economy, the citizens will also get the benefit of socio-economic benefits. So let's understand what other benefits 5G will bring to India.

India benefits in the health sector with the introduction of 5G

The 5G network will help in spreading advanced medical procedures in the medical field to remote areas. At the same time, doctors will be able to connect directly with patients from their place, as well as doctors will also enable surgeons to do remote surgery. In addition, smart medical devices such as wearables will be able to provide quick advice to patients in case of an emergency.

5G Benefits for the IoT Sector

The new technology of 5G will also upgrade the Internet of Things (IoT). With an advanced 5G router, the network of smart devices and other devices in a home will be greatly strengthened. It can also prove to be very helpful in areas like remote monitoring, smart agriculture, industrial automation, and telehealth. At the same time, with the help of smart RFID sensors and GPS, farmers can also track the animals.

Problems turning on 5G

While 5G will reduce the interruptions in network connectivity, many problems may also have to be faced regarding its network. Apart from this, shifting consumers from 4G to 5G may prove costly, as it is feared that the prices of 5G may be higher. 4G internet services have already become expensive in the country. However, what will be the cost of 5G internet recharge, it will be known only after its launch.

It is not hidden from anyone that India has already delayed the adoption of this new technology of 5G, which means that the earnings from the 5G service will not be as expected. Apart from this, the 5G network will not be able to bridge the digital distance between urban and rural areas of the country.

These things have to be done before launching 5G

In all the already existing networks in the country, people are facing problems somewhere. People are troubled by call drops and slow internet speed. Even today, some 4G networks do not run at the speed that the telecom companies promise. That's why companies need to improve it first. It happens from time to time that it is very important to fix the existing 4G network before starting 5G internet services in India. Therefore, if the 5G network is to be made possible to spread in India, then telcos have to make the technology financially easy for the consumers and network carriers.
