Along with the security forces in Kashmir, now the security forces are tightening the noose on the terrorists who are targeting the common people. The security forces have intensified their campaign to kill the terrorists who are trying to create panic among the common people by soft target killing. Within the last 10 hours, the security forces killed four Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in two different encounters in the Kashmir Valley. The slain terrorists also include two terrorists who killed 35-year-old Kashmiri TV actor Amrin Bhat. At the same time, within the last three days, security forces killed 10 terrorists in various encounters in the Kashmir Valley. Of these, seven terrorists were related to Lashkar-e-Taiba while three terrorists were related to Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Giving information about this, IGP Kashmir said that an encounter started between security forces and terrorists in the Soura area of Kashmir in the early hours of Friday in which two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed. The identity of the slain terrorists is being ascertained. These terrorists were given full opportunity to surrender before being gunned down.
The IGP said that earlier on Thursday night, security forces also killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in the Chadoora area of district Budgam. Both these terrorists were the same who shot dead 35-year-old Kashmiri TV actor Amrin Bhat on May 25. His 10-year-old nephew was injured in the attack. After the murder, the security forces of Jammu and Kashmir, who were in search of the terrorists, not only found the killers of Amrin Bhat but also killed them in an overnight encounter. Within the last ten hours, the security forces have killed four Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists who killed Amreen Bhat had recently joined the outfit. They have been identified as Shahid Mushtaq Bhat resident Hafrau Chadoora Budgam and Farhan Habib resident Hakaripora Pulwama. Both of them had killed TV actor Amrin Bhat on the instructions of Lashkar Commander Latif. An AK 56 rifle, 4 magazines, and a pistol have been recovered from the encounter site.
Let us tell you that 24 hours after the murder of TV artist Amrina Butt, the security forces surrounded her killer terrorists in Awantipora of South Kashmir. Both were asked to surrender but responded with bullets and after that, the soldiers also retaliated. The encounter between the terrorists and the security forces continued till late in the night. In the early hours of today, once again the security forces gave the terrorists a chance to lay down their arms, but when they did not agree, the security forces killed both of them.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that on Wednesday evening, information was received that two terrorists were hiding in Aganhanjipora near Awantipora in South Kashmir. As soon as the news was received, the police, along with the 55 RR personnel of the army, started a search operation, laying siege in Aganhanjipora. When the soldiers were moving forward while searching, the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on them to break the siege. The soldiers, defending themselves, thwarted the escape plan of the terrorists by retaliatory fire and after that, the encounter started there. By the early hours, both the terrorists had been killed.
