In the glamorous film industry, stars do not have any fixed time for shooting. Some have to shoot for 12 hours, sometimes they have to stay on the set for three days for a scene. In such a situation, the news of Deepika Padukone demanding an 8-hour shift has started a debate in the film world.
Deepika Padukone became the mother of a daughter only last year. It was being said that after becoming a mother, she would shoot for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit. However, some time ago, there was news that for Spirit, she has demanded an 8-hour shift and more fees, after which she was dropped from the film. Now the issue of 8-hour shift has heated up in the film circles.
What did Ram Gopal Varma say about the shift in demand?
Many celebrities have supported the 8-hour shift demand, while some have stated it. Now Ram Gopal Varma has also given his statement on this issue. Talking to Hindustan Times, the filmmaker said, "When it comes to fixed shift timings for actors, I really feel that it is an agreement between two people. Each one of them has the right to say what he wants and the other has the right to say no."
Shift depends on factors.
Ram Gopal Varma further said, "It depends on many factors. The director may need a particular light. He may want a combination of another actor, or the location may not be available. There are many factors that can play a role in it."
Trupti replaced Deepika
It is known that Deepika Padukone was cast to work opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga. However, after reports of dispute over shift demands and fees, she was removed and has been replaced by Tripti Dimri.
