The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Day 1: The controversial film The Kerala Story hit the theaters this Friday. The uproar that started after the trailer came out increased the audience's interest in the film. 'The Kerala Story' earned well on the first day and with this the film has come at number 5 in the list of biggest opening films of this year. Adah Sharma's film is being compared to 'The Kashmir Files' released last year, but it has left behind 'The Kashmir Files in terms of first-day earnings.

Directed by Sudipto Sen, the film narrates the story of three girls who become victims of a religious conversion conspiracy.
