At the same time, the government of Pakistan says that about 33 million people have been affected by this flood across the country. The appeal made by the UN is from September 2022 to February 2023. On behalf of the UN, the government of Pakistan has also been asked to spend the amount of help given only to the affected. The UN has appealed to the Shahbaz government to put such an institution under its supervision which can confirm that it is in the right hands.
