The final match of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be played between India and New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday. The ICC has announced the names of the umpires for this high-profile match.

Two eminent names of the umpire world, Australia's Paul Reiffel, and England's Richard Illingworth, have been assigned the responsibility of field umpires. The responsibility of the third umpire has been given to Joel Wilson. Sri Lanka's Kumar Dharmasena will be the fourth umpire. Sri Lanka's Ranjan Madugalle will play the role of match referee.

Let us tell you that the Indian team confirmed its place in the title match by defeating Australia in the semi-finals. At the same time, New Zealand made it to the final by defeating South Africa by 50 runs in the second semi-final.

Umpires have good experience

58-year-old Paul Reiffel is an Australian cricketer. He played the role of on-field umpire in the second semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand held in Lahore. At the same time, 61-year-old Illingworth played the responsibility of on-field umpire in the first semi-final between India and Australia.

Illingworth has received the ICC's Best Umpire of the Year title four times. He has umpired in the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup. Richard Illingworth also played the role of on-field umpire during the group stage match between India and New Zealand. India won this match by 44 runs.
