The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in Tamil Nadu during the next five days and parts of Karnataka and Rayalaseema during the next two days. Due to the heavy rains in Delhi-NCR for the last few days, the temperature has dropped, due to which people are feeling cold in the morning. The fog was seen in many areas of Delhi-NCR and UP on Thursday morning. However, the weather in Bihar will continue to be rainy today.

Today it may rain in these states

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in 24 states of the country.

Why is it raining so much in October?

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal and the Western Disturbance, many parts of the country are receiving rain in October. The monsoon has still not left many parts of the country and today conditions will be favorable for the departure of the Southwest Monsoon from some more parts of Northwest and Central India in the next three to four days.

According to the latest updates from the Meteorological Department, cyclonic circulation is persisting over the Comorin region and adjoining lower troposphere levels. A cyclonic circulation is persisting in the lower troposphere levels over North Andaman Sea. It is very likely to move westwards during the next 2-3 days. Due to these weather systems, heavy rain and thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal between October 13 and 17.

When will the monsoon farewell

Regarding the change in the weather and the rains so far in October, the Meteorological Department says that still, the monsoon has not departed in many parts of the country. The forecast for the departure of the monsoon from central India is around October 15 to 16. Not that this is happening for the first time. This has been happening for the last several years. The rain that has come now or is happening in some places is due to western disturbances. The condition of Western Disturbance is persisting over some parts of the country but at the same time, the clouds have started reducing over North India.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will weaken in the next 2-3 days. Conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of monsoons from most parts of the country. On September 30, the IMD announced that the monsoon has withdrawn from Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a partly cloudy sky in Delhi on Thursday as well, but there is no chance of rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain at 32 and 19 degree Celsius respectively.
