According to sources, during the meeting of various intelligence agencies and security agencies with the Delhi Police at the Delhi Police Headquarters, the issue of Taliban occupation of Afghanistan was discussed heavily.
Several officials of top intelligence agencies, including the head of the Research and Analysis Wing (RA), the chief of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), attended the meeting. According to sources in the security agencies, in this important meeting, it was discussed how India needs to be very aware and alert about the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan and the current situation there. Top intelligence officials said that India needs to be very cautious of the Taliban and its current form and behavior as it can emerge as a threat to India with the new strategy.
In this very important meeting, several state officials of police and intelligence departments also said that Pakistan and its intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) are working hard to strengthen their spy network in India. He said that Pakistan is trying to get confidential information about India from the officials of the country through honey trapping.
Sources said the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and the challenges in the Union Territory were also a matter of discussion among the attendees. During this, the officials present in the meeting also brainstormed on ways to deal with Pakistan's strategies to spread terrorism in India.
Significantly, the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday busted a Pakistan-backed terror module and arrested a total of six terrorists, including two terrorists trained by Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. The police had said that the terrorists were allegedly planning to carry out bomb blasts at several places in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra during Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, and Ramlila festivals. He had told that Anees Ibrahim, brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim living in Pakistan, was associated with the underworld to carry out this terrorist plan.
