America has issued a direct warning to its enemies amid the Israel-Hamas conflict. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Sunday that it is certain that Iran will continue to instigate war between Israel and Hamas through its indirect powers. However, he issued a warning saying that if any American soldier or armed force is targeted during this period, the Biden administration is fully prepared to deal with the enemies.
Secretary of State Blinken said, "We do not want this at all, nor do we expect this. We do not want to see our troops and military forces become targets. But if that happens, we are prepared to take further action." Reiterating his point, the US Defense Secretary said that we are also looking at the possibility of an increase in conflict and attacks on our military forces and people. But America has the full right to defend itself and we will not fail to take action for our security.
The US Secretary of State said that no one wants to see a second or third front being formed amid the Israel-Hamal conflict. However, Iran's covert allies may target our military. Therefore, we are taking those steps so that we can protect our people and respond to the attackers at a decisive level. He said that two aircraft battle groups have been deployed in the Western Asia region, which is not to provoke but to prevent any kind of action so that it remains clear that if anyone tries to do something, we are there.
It is noteworthy that these statements of American ministers have come at a time when the conflict between Israel and Hamas has reached its third week. Attacks on Israel were carried out from the Gaza Strip as well as from areas in Lebanon and Syria, in response to which Israeli fighter planes destroyed Hezbollah positions. Given this situation, America has asked its citizens in Western Asia to remain alert. It has also recalled all non-essential staff from its embassy in Iraq.
