Union Minister Anurag Thakur has targeted the change of the seat of Swami Prasad Maurya, who left the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the SP. Anurag Thakur has said that Swami Prasad Maurya (SP MLA) elects a new Swami after every five years but now he is in such trouble that he is not even ready to contest from his seat. What was the need to escape from Padrauna? Is he (Swami Prasad Maurya) being afraid of defeat?

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that he (Swami Prasad Maurya) was afraid of defeat. While on the one hand the supra of the Samajwadi Party is getting cleared, on the other hand, he (Swami Prasad Maurya) is afraid of losing. Such a situation has arisen that Swami Prasad Maurya is not ready to contest the election even on his seat. After all, what is the compulsion that he (Swami Prasad Maurya) had to leave Padrauna and run away...

Significantly, the Samajwadi Party on Wednesday released the list of names of three candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. In this list, the SP has declared Swami Prasad Maurya, who was a minister in the Bharatiya Janata Party government and recently joined the Samajwadi Party, as its candidate from the Fazilnagar seat of Kushinagar district. This has allowed the BJP to attack the SP and Swami Prasad Maurya.

Samajwadi Party has fielded Pallavi Patel as its candidate from the Sirathu seat of Kaushambi. Patel will face BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya from the Sirathu seat. Not only this, Samajwadi Party has fielded Abhishek Mishra, who was a minister in the SP government, from Lucknow's Sarojininagar seat. Abhishek Mishra will face BJP's, Rajarajeshwar Singh. The BJP declared Rajarajeshwar Singh as its candidate on Tuesday evening.
