A deal with India will strengthen Armenia's military power. This will give a boost to arms industries in India as well. First, India will send its Pinaka Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher. It has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of the Defense Ministry. The special thing is that Armenia will be the first foreign country to get the Indian Pinaka rocket system.

This big deal in the defense sector from Armenia is taking it forward to increase the export of arms to India. The Government of India has set a target of selling arms worth Rs 35,000 crore by 2025. According to reports, in 2021, India sold weapons worth Rs 13,000 crore.

This is the third version of the Pinaka missile developed indigenously. The first two versions had a range of 40 and 75 km. The range of this advanced version is 120 km. An advance navigation and control system has been installed in this missile. Due to this, the firepower has become very accurate.

Each rocket can carry up to 250 kg of bombs. It attacks its target at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

The Pinaka Mark-I variant was used by the Indian Army during the Kargil War of 1999. Due to this the Pakistani posts posted on the mountain posts were targeted with precision and forced the enemy to retreat in the war. The system that fires the Pinaka missile is called the Pinaka rocket system, which has been launched on the army vehicle itself.
