Army helicopters attack school in Myanmar: 13 killed including 7 children in shelling, 20 people taken away

Military helicopters attacked a school in Myanmar. 13 people died in the attack, including 7 children. 17 people were injured in this attack. According to media reports, the incident took place on Friday at the school of the Buddhist monastery and Late Yat Kon village in the Central Sagaing area.

 

The army also entered the village and opened fire, in which many people were injured. However, some media reports said that the school building was being used by the rebels, so the army took action.

 

6 students died in school

 

School administrator Mar Mar says four Mi-35 helicopters were hovering in the north of the village. Before we could understand anything, two of those helicopters opened fire on the school with machine guns and heavy weapons. I took the students to the classes built in the basement of the school, by then 6 children had died.

After firing at the school, the helicopters turned towards a nearby village, he said. Army helicopters also opened fire in the village, in which a child lost his life. His age is said to be 13 years, he used to make a living for his family by catching fish. Apart from this, about 6 other people have died in the village.

According to media reports, local people say that the army personnel has taken 20 people along. This includes 9 injured children, 3 teachers, and others. Two of these people are accused of being anti-military government.
