Indian-origin Aruna Miller has created history in America. Aruna has won the election of lieutenant governor of Maryland. According to the news agency PTI, Aruna is the first expatriate woman to become the governor of Maryland. She has become the first expatriate woman to reach the Governor's House, defeating her nearest rival. Let us tell you that Aruna has been a former member of the Maryland House of Delegates.

Who is Aruna Miller?

 

 58-year-old Democrat Aruna Miller came to America in the year 1972 at the age of seven. She is originally from Hyderabad.

 

Aruna Miller graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1989 with a degree in civil engineering. Aruna has worked for the local transportation department in Montgomery County for 25 years.

 

From 2010 to 2018 he represented 15 districts in the Maryland House of Delegates.

 

She ran for Congress in Maryland's 6th congressional district in 2018 and was ranked second among eight candidates.

 

Aruna is married to Dave Miller, with whom she has three daughters. She currently resides in Montgomery County.
